Srikrishna College established in 1952.This College at Bagula in Nadia District in the state of West Bengal. It offers undergraduate courses in Sciences, Humanities, Commerce. It is affiliated to University of Kalyani.
Our Department of Education is nine years old. With course level teaching at undergraduate level was set from its inception for the demand for the subject which increasingly day by day. In an average two Thousand students admitted in our college per year. Three-years Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Education General Course (1+1+1) system was started in 2012 and three years Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honours Course in Education (1+1+1) system was started in 2015 at Srikrishna College. Failure to maintain appropriate decorum we attract disciplinary action. Students are to attend 75% of classes held. In 2016, it is at present a consequent of Srikrishna College as it offered PG study Directorate of Open & Distance Learning Course (DODL) was started in Education.
Presently three years Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honours and General Course in Education are offered as a full-time programme having six semesters. It is primarily based on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) regulations (Norms and Standards) in 2018. UGC guidelines for designing curricula under semester system of Higher Education.
Presently five teachers have in our department. One Assistant Professor, three State Aided College Teacher (SACT-I) and one State Aided College Teacher (SACT-II). The relationship between teacher-students ’as friend, philosopher and guide. We have good relationship between teaching and non-teaching staff and with other faculty members. Classes are held from 10.30 A.M. to 4.30 P.M. from Monday to Saturday. Education Department remains open on all working days.
The professional as well as the ethical consideration important by an institution. Faculty members have published numerous research paper and journal during the last few years, especially in the time of COVID-19 Pandemic situation. Some of faculty members are actively engaged invited as examiner, different academic bodies as well as appeared and presented National and International levels of Seminars, Conferences and Workshops.
Our department organized many co-curricular activities like- Teacher's Day, Sports, Basonto Uthsob, Wall-Magazine “PRAYAS” Published in 2016, Departmental-Magazine “EDUZONE” Published in 2017, Quiz competition, Debates etc.
