The Physics Department of Srikrishna College is committed to impart quality education both in theoretical as well as experimental physics and to achieve academic excellence through teaching, research and dissemination of knowledge.

Vision

We seek to awaken the young students and discover their talents both in theory and in experimental Physics, through dedication to teaching, commitment to students and innovative teaching-learning methods like PPT presentation, online class, doubt clearing session, lecture notes etc. We encourage the students to engage in research activities through participation in seminar, workshop, summer project and dissertation works. We also support the developmental activities of the College and make the Department vibrant.

Objectives

• To provide students with basic knowledge and skills in physics so that they can participate in reputed Institutions in India and outside for higher studies
• To create strong interest in physics among the students so that they can further develop themselves through self-study
• To motivate students towards research in Physics and in interdisciplinary areas
• To carry out scientific research in wide areas of Physics and allied fields
• To carry out research through collaboration and form partnerships with other researchers in the reputed academic institutions of India and abroad
• To bring sponsored funds from the Government and Private agencies in order to strengthen laboratory facilities and research
• To organize outreach activities to promote scientific culture
